Dr. Michael McDermott is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy. He completed an accredited Sports Physical Therapy Residency working with Division I Baseball at the University of Arizona. Most recently, he worked with the Cincinnati Reds organization during the 2026 season.
Since 2018, Dr. McDermott has worked across sports rehabilitation and performance settings. He specializes in postoperative care, upper-extremity athlete care, lower-extremity tendon and ligament injuries, concussion management, emergency response for athletes, wound care, acute injury management, musculoskeletal imaging, and manual and manipulative therapy. Dr. McDermott has volunteered hundreds of hours providing sideline medical coverage for large community events, teaching in physical therapy and physical therapy assistant programs, covering high school football, and helping uninsured patients at a pro bono clinic. He has always been motivated to help athletes succeed in their pursuit of greatness. Dr. McDermott speaks Spanish and has worked with professional players from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and other nations.
